Matt founded Schumann Consulting in 2017 after spending over a decade managing large commercial developments including industrial, senior living, LEED certified, corporate offices, high-rise, educational, non-profits, resort, and financial institutions.
He graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Construction Management and has worked directly with developers and owners since – guiding their projects from inception to successful completion.
A sixth-generation New Braunfels native, Matt grew up in the heart of the Texas Hill Country he and his family of five are grateful to still call home.
TJ grew up in the construction industry helping his father as a carpenter. This passion led him to become a union carpenter, start his own business, become an HSE Manager with an international construction company, and eventually work for the City of New Braunfels.
He has served as a Chief Building Oficial, Building Commissioner, and Floodplain Manager in the public sector, but his passion for the private sector brought him to Schumann Consulting.
TJ is originally from the Chicago area and grateful to be a transplanted Texan. He is a proud husband, loving father of four,and avid outdoorsman.
