Schumann Consulting provided comprehensive owner’s representative services and construction project management for the renovation of the historic Faust Hotel in downtown New Braunfels, Texas. This significant historic renovation project modernized key areas of the hotel, including the kitchen, restaurant, bar, and guest accommodations, while preserving the architectural integrity and historic character that earned the property designation as a Texas Historic Landmark and inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. As the project owner’s representative, Schumann Consulting served as the owner’s advocate throughout all phases of planning, design, and construction. Our team has managed the historic preservation application process at both the local and state levels, provided strategic preconstruction services, coordinated project stakeholders, and delivered comprehensive construction management services. Responsibilities include budget management, schedule oversight, contractor procurement and selection, risk mitigation, and quality control to help ensure successful project delivery. In addition, Schumann Consulting works closely with local municipalities, preservation agencies, architects, engineers, and contractors to navigate the complexities of renovating a historic property.
